We’re the Maine Coalition for Social Connection, a community of thinkers, doers, neighbors and friends who believe that nobody should have to go through life socially isolated or feeling invisible. Our story starts the way that many Maine tales do, with a small group of people huddled around a kitchen table, sharing stories and snacks, dreaming up a better way to bring people together.

What began as a handful of passionate Mainers has grown into a statewide movement, fueled by the simple idea that connection is a basic human need. Some of us are social workers, some are community coordinators, others are healthcare workers, librarians, or researchers. But all of us know the importance of social connection - we know how powerful it can be to have options to get together.

You’ll find us hosting community events, partnering with local organizations, offering resources, and always listening. Whether you’re here looking for support, or you want to lend a hand, there’s a place for you with us. We believe everyone has something to offer, and everyone deserves to belong.
